We never saw whales as kids at Cape Lookout in the Outer Banks. We saw dolphins, sharks, horse shoe crabs and other sea life. We discovered these white crabs that dad thought would make a great dinner so had us collect them and put in the floor of the boat. It was full of these little guys. And it was kind of creepy as we headed back to Calico Jacks with those all by our feet. Oh, the disappointment when we learned they were only good for fertilizer. No crab fest that night. On the bright side, they were all released back to the sea and hopefully lived a full life (not as fertilizer.) Enjoy!
