My mom loved flowers. Her mom loved flowers. She grew them, bought them and photographed them. I love them, too. But I did not inherit the green thumb from them. I have a very hard time keeping them alive. I have one peace lily that I have been keeping alive for 11 years. It was my grandmother’s. When she passed in 2011, my aunt took it home and it thrived with her. She brought me a clipping when we finally settled down in the US in 2013 and it is still alive. I’ve nearly lost it a couple of times, but they are very, very resilient. It is my only “success” in keeping plants alive. I’m working on an orchid that was gifted to me at Christmas, and so far, so good. Enjoy!
