Staghorn Mountain

egelady

I read recently that the warm waters last summer in the keys has killed or heavily damaged the staghorn corals.  The water temperature was near or just above 100 degrees.  I enjoyed the snorkeling and knew the water was unusually warm - but was surprised at just how warm it was.  I’d rather have the corals than the hot tub warmth while snorkeling.  Just saying. Enjoy mom’s photo of the way it was in the 80’s!
