Moray Eel. These scare me more than sharks do. The bite can be quite painful. My dad was bitten a couple of times by an eel or two. He would say it was painful to say the least. He was never bitten by a shark although he agitated one once and it came right at me. That made me hyperventilate a bit. I didn’t know why the shark was agitated, but it was clear it was. I just stayed very still and hoped for the best. That worked. I was telling the story when back on the boat and my dad looked a bit sheepish. He did confess that he was the one to agitate it. He pulled its tail. Why he did that I will never understand. He used to lecture everyone to never do that. Why did he break his own rule? I’ll never know.
