Flipper's Sea School

Flipper’s Sea School - Flipper’s Sea School opened in the late 70s or early 80s in the Florida Keys, Grassy Key. That wasn’t its name when we first moved to Marathon in 1976. We visited and really enjoyed our visit. So much so that my Dad applied for a job there, but was turned down since he had no experience or education in marine biology. He was very disappointed and bewildered, too. He believed in himself and knew he could learn what he needed to know if given the chance. Today it is the Dolphin Research Center. I believe they do good work there. If you are in Marathon (Grassy Key), stop in and see them. This starts a series of photos taken during a visit in the early 1980s or so by mom and dad. Stay tuned and Enjoy!
