When I was in the 4th or 5th grade, I drew a tree in art class and the teacher told me that trees don’t grow that way and that I would never be a good artist. I had seen many trees growing exactly as I drew the tree, but I believed her and never did anything artistic again. Then fluid art. Thank you to the fluid art community for letting me know that why, yes, I do have an artistic bone (or two) in my body. I wonder how many teachers have ruined art for children.
