There are so many opinions about what it means to be free these days. What does it mean? In my mind, at its most basic level, it is the right to make decisions and take actions that are best for me without interference from others. That is a great power to have, isn’t it? But, with great power comes greater responsibility. We all have the responsibility to ensure that everyone’s most basic rights are protected. That is where the differences in opinion begin. We must remember that these differences don’t make us good or evil, we just view the world differently. Let’s show respect for those who have a different opinion. Let’s listen to each other and work together to find common ground. What is the point in my being free if everyone else is not?
